The Spoonflower challenge this week is “Joyful Jungle” and the thought of Zip lining through a sumptuous green jungle canopy is my idea of having a fabulous joyous time!

Disco Revival
I have to say the prompt for this week’s Spoonflower challenge “Disco Revival” found me in that nightmare scenario any designer dreads – CREATIVE BLOCK. It happens , thankfully not too often but I really hate it when it does. I dabbled around with a cat design and hated it, I mucked around with light designs and sank into despair. Then I put on some Bee Gees really loud and danced like an idiot in my studio and this happened.
Disco Beat!
It’s brash and bold and completely outside my comfort zone but I am going for it!
Bold Minimalism
I like designing twiddly details so when faced with a design prompt ” Bold Minimalism” for this week’s Spoonflower challenge, it was a challenge in more ways than one for me.
I ended up creating two designs and am not sure which one I am going to enter yet.
The first one I created was inspired by those lone black sheep you see in flocks… but I jazzed it up a bit as you can see!
Baa Baa Green Sheep
The second was more abstract
Green Morph
Gosh this was a hard choice but I have ended up going with the abstract one
Busy Pollinating Bees
It is another limited color palette Spoonflower challenge this week and when I saw the bright colors I immediately thought of big fat bumble bees flitting in and out of flowers in their pollinating quest.
Vintage Nostalgia Kitchen – Chickens!
When I think of vintage kitchens, farm fresh eggs and chickens pecking at the back door comes to mind – vibing that whole farm to table thing. I ran with that idea for this week’s Spoonflower challenge – Vintage Nostalgia Kitchen
Some designs really lend themselves to coordinate prints and I rustled together a sweet little mini collection
Reworked Classics
Gosh I was all over the place for this “reworked classics” Spoonflower challenge which asks to see classic designs re-imagined with manipulation and warping.
I faffed around for ages and have in fact ended up with a nice little collection. But it was a interesting stripe with interwoven elements, I have decided to enter. I think it is great for coastal decor hence my choice of names!
Coastal Stripe
And just for fun here were the other contenders
Home Hobbies-Knitting
Knit one, purl one, drop a stitch and swear! I have been knitting for years… long before it became “oh so trendy”! It was an obvious choice for my home hobby entry for this week’s Spoonflower challenge.
This was a fun prompt and I actually rustled up a few designs including some coordinating patterns.
Limited Color Palette: Pastel Comforts
Oohh I loved these colors to design with for this week’s spoonflower challenge.
For some reason “moped” popped into my head and the next thing I know, is I have created a design with mopeds whizzing through lavender meadows. I am not in control with what emerges from my ipencil hahaha!
I also created a version with just the Lavender meadow.
Teamwork Birds
This week’s Spoonflower challenge prompt is Teamwork. If you have ever watched a nest of baby birds being tended to and fed by mama and papa birds it is the ultimate in teamwork!
I played around with a number of colorways but have entered the rainbow leaves one!
Limited Color Palette: In Bloom
This week’s Spoonflower challenge is another limited color palette. Some of these color prompts really speak to me, others not. This is one of the not one!
I didn’t let that deter me and when looking at the colors, frogs and toadstools came to mind.
