Hubble Bubble Pastel Halloween

Pastel Halloween is the prompt for this week’s Spoonflower challenge which seems a bit odd to me but maybe orange, purple and black have had their day as far as Halloween goes. Actually I think not, but it is fun to design in a non conventional color palette.

My design Hubble Bubble Pastel Halloween conjures up a witch casting spells in her cauldron. The spell she is casting, is that this design is going to the challenge winner hahahah!

Why don’t we all prove old witchy right and cast our vote!

Farm I spy: Baby Play Mat

Gosh this Spoonflower challenge – Baby Play mats was quite a bit of work, but a lot of fun to do. My 42″ by 36″ design is full of farm fun! Farm Fun I spy Playmat

Hunt for a farm cat, rosy red apples and a chicken with her eggs. I actually could have gone on and on hiding things in this design!

Peachy Keen

I messed around with two designs for this week’s Spoonflower challenge, Stone Fruits

The first design I created has a graphical modern feel but after sitting on it for a few days I decided as much as I liked it, it may well bomb in the challenge.

Peach Plum Perfection

Makes a fun table cloth!

So the I took inspiration from the a design I created for the Charcuterie Board and came up with Peachy Keen. It features slices of peach, cherries and raspberries ( which much to my surprise are considered a stone fruit!)

Red Trail- Hiking Pattern Challenge

My inspiration for this week’s Spoonflower challenge – Take a Hike was the fabulous few years I lived in Lancaster county, Pennsylvania and I hiked every trail I could find. The countryside there is peppered with Amish farms, beautiful old red barns and the mighty Susquehanna River. I LOVED the adventures I had there.

Let’s Hike the red trail celebrates all those miles I put on my boots!

Verdant Vegetables Pattern

I don’t really understand why some folk do not like vegetables, there are some many to choose from.

This week’s Spoonflower Challenge is Vegetables and Herb gardens and I decided to focus on just vegetables because I assumed everyone will be drawing lavender! My design features all my favorites – asparagus, carrots, cabbage, peas, onions, beets and green peppers, a some tools of the trade. A watering can, garden fork, pair of wellies and a sweet chicken to keep you company as you do the weeding.

I actually faffed around with a lighter color version of the design but have decided to go with the dark version as I think it will stand out more.

Rainbow Fruit Platter Board

My year long personal challenge of entering every Spoonflower contest sometimes sees me facing prompts that really don’t speak to me and fill me with dread! When I saw Charcuterie Boards I literally went urrghhh. But when I started sketching things out the design flew out out of my ipencil, it was so much fun!

Rainbow Fruit Platter board features juicy lovely fruits… yum yum.
