It’s a wallpaper design for the Spoonflower challenge this week and the prompt is “Neutral Botanical”. These neutral challengers are always pretty difficult for me as I am the queen of color!
Never the less I am always up to push myself outside of my comfort zone, so here is my entry.
I also came up with a different colorway but I decided to enter the green one!
The prompt for this week’s Spoonflower challenge, Y2K, threw me for a bit. For me, Y2K was all about how the world was going to grind to a halt because of the date issue on computers not going past 1999. But it seems there is a fashion resurgence of all things from that era so I turned to those clumpy shoes… and yes, I did wear and enjoy them hahhaah
Waking up to -7deg F and a decent covering of snow on the ground here in Chicago, I channeled thoughts of spring for my entry into this week’s Spoonflower challenge, Pocket, what a fun prompt!
Ohhhh, Very Peri, the Pantone color of the year 2022 and how much I love this color, particularly compared to the yellow and gray yuck we had last year! Hooray for this week’s Spoonflower design challenge!
I created quite a number of designs for this challenge and it was hard to pick which one to enter but I eventually decided on my Lavender Farm
But these hedgehogs were a very close contender
2022 is the year of the tiger and the prompt for this week’s Spoonflower Challenge.
I took a whimsical approach and created a pattern that would be super fun in the kids decor arena.
I also created another colorway – Night Tiger Tile
The prompt for this week’s Spoonflower challenge was Vintage Canned Goods, and this is where my warped mind took me. It’s amazing how my own brain can surprise me! My better half is like ” No! A cat can’t fit in a sardine tin” and I am like “Why not”
I had so much fun designing my entry for the Block Adventure Spoonflower design challenge this week.
I imagined myself chartering a boat from a rouge captain and having an ocean adventure. Oh the place we would go and the fun to be had!
Captain Scallywag Ocean Adventures
It is the first challenge of the 2022 and I am dilly dallying over which design to enter for Ditsy Adventure.
I recently got a space themed design prompt from my nephew which was turned into a duvet cover but on a small scale it works really nicely as a ditsy print.
But I also drew inspiration from the ocean and all the wonderful unexplored expanse it offers and created a whimsical submarine adventure.
I think I am going to go for my space adventure … for now.. who knows I may change my mind!
French for “Trick of the Eye” Trompe Loeil was super fun to design for. It also wraps up the Spoonflower design challenges for 2021. I have kept to my personal promise and entered every single one… just as I did in 2020. I will have another round up of how I did in the new year.
Oooh I have never been to Palm Springs but after all the research I have done this week for The Palm Springs wallpaper challenge, I now am itching to visit. What a fun place it sounds!
