Spoonflower are celebrating international Women’s Day for their challenge this week. It was tricky to know what to design for this one so I went a beautiful hair route and incorporated the word “woman” in several languages!

Indoor Garden Wall Hanging
I used to have loads of magnificent house plants but I move around a lot and on all but one occasion, the removal companies have refused to load my green lovelies on their trucks. I think it has something to do with any insects they may harbor. On the one time I lucked out and got everything loaded, an overnight transportation in temperatures of -8 deg F meant that everything was dead on arrival … and any liquid in that shipment was also completely frozen … shampoo, olive oil you name it!
So these days a wall hanging of an indoor garden – this week’s Spoonflower design challenge, is quite appealing!
The inspiration for my design came from the peace a tranquility house plants can provide.
Motivational Wall Hanging
I am not really one for motivational sayings and inspirational quotes but one thing that has been with me my entire life is my love of EXPLORING. I have moved countless times – different country, states and unlike most people, it does not fill me with dread, quite the opposite. Moving has given me the opportunity to explore the unknown and have new adventures!
It seemed only logical that that my lust for adventure became the theme for my Spoonflower Challenge entry this week
Recipe Wall Hanging
Well this was a fun Spoonflower challenge, create a recipe wall hanging.
As a kid I had a really sweet tooth and come Christmas time I absolutely not only loved making but consuming sugar mice!
They are super easy to make especially with kids.
2022 Wall Hanging Calendar
With some of the color limitations of recent Spoonflower challenges I felt the need to have a bit of a riot with color with the 2022 wall Calendar challenge.
Rainbow Fruit Platter Board
My year long personal challenge of entering every Spoonflower contest sometimes sees me facing prompts that really don’t speak to me and fill me with dread! When I saw Charcuterie Boards I literally went urrghhh. But when I started sketching things out the design flew out out of my ipencil, it was so much fun!
Rainbow Fruit Platter board features juicy lovely fruits… yum yum.
It would make such a fun tablecloth… you wouldn’t need any food hahahah!
I’d love your vote!
The Eggtastic Mrs Chicken Collection
After the success of my Eggtastic tea towel in one of the recent Spoonflower challenges, I decided to build out a complete collections which I have called …
The Eggtastic Mrs Chicken collection!
The collection consists of five coordinating prints inspired by my original tea towel and are perfect for kitchen decor.
Vintage Travel Tea Towel Design
Backyard Winter Birds Tea Towel Design
I get so much pleasure from watching the birds visit the bird feeder in my garden. Yes it may cause a mess and attracts pesky squirrels and chipmunks but it is worth it!
I came up with two designs for Backyard Winter Birds Tea Towel Spoonflower challenge this week and ummed and arred about which one to enter.
I decided to go with this one.
This was the other design I came up with.
Looking at them both I don’t know if I have made the right choice on which one to enter… as I write this there is still time to do a switcharoo.

Eggtastic: Kitchen Wisdom Tea Towel
This weeks Spoonflower challenge was to come up with a tea towel which imparted some kitchen wisdom.
Boiling the perfect egg depends on how you like your eggs and I came up with this design : Eggtastic . I plan to use old clucky the chicken in a repeat pattern design
Now the funny thing is, is that I don’t like eggs, never have and never will. It’s such a shame as they are a perfect food. I can eat them in a quiche but scrambled, boiled, fried or poached them they are a no go!
But don’t let that stop you voting for my Eggtastic Tea towel!
Update
Winner, winner chicken dinner, I placed 4th!
